The Russian River Ferry is the quickest and easiest way to cross the river. If you're staying overnight at Sportsman's Landing then you're most likely crossing the river here. When the salmon are running you'll want to cross quickly in the early morning to get a spot. Fish On! There are cheaper ways to get acrossed the river. Park upstream by the Russian River Campground and enjoy a walk through the ferns. You might even get to see some bears fishing if you're lucky. But not worth a 10 second ride that cost 50 cents im electric for a whole boat of people. Take a walk and enjoy Alaska. If you are there to fish you'll love it. If you are there for anything else, you'll still probably love it. Take the ferry across for a walk. We got skunked the last time I was there but the scenery is amazing and the fishing is usually really good We drifted from there down the river. Great place to launch the boat.
