The lodge is lovely. Our cabin has 2 queen log style beds, a stove with split wood and fire starter - cozy and spacious as can be. There are 2 short hikes right next to the lodge. One takes you down yo the Kenai River. You have a choice of eating in the the tavern or the main dining room. Food has been good. WiFi in main lodge only. Restaurant was excellent. Just about the only place to have a really good, higher end meal. Other places in area are mostly burger type joints. Service here was good and food was top quality... And not too pricey for lunch. And what a view. This place is awesome. A little high end but very worth the money. I loved it and the service. Great job, folks. The food was 5 stars in my book. The crab tray was perfect. The lodge and the staff are awesome!!! The service at the rafter's lounge is sub par though... have gone twice for appetizers and both times were poor experiences. Very slow service that's my only reason for 4 stars - our stay was great. We had a great time.we only stayed one night,we wanted another night but space was full....make ur reservations well in advance...The food was great,rooms were really nice.....check in time is way late and check out time is too early....The housekeeper was already at our room wanting to clean which was not cool,it was only 10am...staff is very friendly......our view of the mountains was not all that great,trees were in the way and we were disappointed that the hot tub was not working. I do love Cooper landing,the scenery is very pretty......They should have a discount for Alaskan Residents,we paid enough for the room.....
