The 6 hr float was a wonderful, relaxing way to spend the day! Our guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable (Mollie) and handled the raft expertly! I'd recommend this outfitter to anyone. Did the float trip at 6pm. what a wonderful experience. Jimmy (guide)did a great job spotting things out. Would recommend them. You want a great time, super fishing, friendly staff, lovely cabins, best scenery around, and best vacation - stay at this place. It was awesome, we had the Old River Front cabin and looked at the Kenai River last thing before bed and first thing in the morning. We had an absolutely wonderful time! Cannot wait to go back. In the mean time, we were able to join them for a float trip this spring with our kids and found it to be very enjoyable! They provided the kids with their own life jackets and boots, and kept them entertained on the river with interesting facts about the birds (lots of eagles!), the water, and the area. And it was a relaxing experience for my wife and I as we got to enjoy the beauty of the mountains surrounding us, the turquoise water, and all the different types of birds to be seen. Highly recommend bringing any family visiting this summer to go with Alaska Rivers Company. They show Alaska off really well! My daughter and I just spent a week at the Alaska Rivers Company. It was an excellent experience! The property is beautiful, right on the Kenai River, and surrounded by the mountains that are everywhere in Cooper Landing. We stayed in the "Big House" cabin, a beautiful genuine log structure that was clean and well maintained. It even came with a washer/dryer combo. We loved it and it felt like home away from home from the very outset. I want to especially thank all of the staff we met; Corey who manages, and Ben, Drew and Kyle, all fishing guides that went out of their way to be helpful. We didn't meet a single staff member that was anything but polite and enthusiastic about what they do. (After taking customers fishing and rafting all day, from what I could tell, the guides spend their personal free time....fishing, rafting and kayaking!) On our guided fishing trip, Kyle went out of his way to make sure we got a good view of a Grizzly Bear that was along the river, and he provided helpful tips regularly aimed at ensuring our group's success. Any guest of ARC will leave happy, I sure know we did. Alaska is a wonderful place of its own accord, and the way ARC does business only enhanced our experience. I would, and already have, recommend it highly to friends interested in the Alaska experience!
